It’s that time of year again – where did 2019 go? I’ve discovered so many shops this year that I decided to write an updated gift guide; focusing on self care gifts that support small businesses.

Big Moods
I’ve talked about Big Moods on the blog before, mostly about their mental health stickers (of which a portion of the profit is donated to the charity Active Minds). But did you know they sell travel stickers, pride stickers, pins, and greeting cards? I love the cartoony art style, and if you know someone who can’t resist personalising their stuff with stickers and pins, you’re bound to find something for them here.
Lisa Angel
Lisa Angel is a UK based store that sells a range of jewellery, homeware, and accessories. They stock collections from other brands alongside their own creations; I especially love the adorable soft toys – perfect for a little one. And the dainty jewellery is beautiful and affordable. You can check out their inspo section if you’re really stuck for ideas, and search for gifts by recipient or price. They also make personalised gifts, and offer free worldwide delivery on everything!
LSW Cards
LSW Cards is such a wonderful idea – I really want a pack for Christmas! In the deck of 45 cards, you have various journal prompts, gratitude exercises, ideas for random acts of kindness, and so much more. This is the ultimate self care gift. LSW has also recently branched out to include downloadable products in their shop – review coming soon!
Buddybox
It wouldn’t be a self care gift guide without listing Buddybox. I have a feeling most of you will have heard of them but in case you haven’t: Buddybox is a monthly subscription box filled with hand picked self care items, each month has a different theme. You don’t have to be tied in to a contract – you can just buy one box if you want to (although I would recommend subscribing!). They also sell pins, postcards, and loads of other cute items in their shop.
Winnie’s Picks
Have you ever attempted to follow a Bob Ross tutorial and it’s gone horribly wrong? With Winnie’s Picks you don’t have to risk ruining a beautiful canvas, and you can display a painting you’re proud of. The paint by numbers range on their website is huge, and you can also upload a photo to get a custom paint by numbers – what a thoughtful personalised gift! Creating art is incredibly therapeutic and a paint by numbers canvas would make a great self care gift.
TwaBurds Soaps
I have bought gifts from TwaBurds before and I just had to mention them here. Based in Glasgow, Scotland, all of the products are handmade, vegan, AND cruelty free. They sell everything from black cauldron bath bombs, to highland coo soaps! If you take advantage of the 4 for £10 offer they regularly run, you could easily get plenty of stocking fillers for everyone on your list!
Dorkface
I love this shop – and the inspiring woman behind it all! Jemma’s prints are empowering, whimsical, and most of all, colourful. I have so many of her prints in my house and currently I’m making room for some more. She also sells cards, stickers, pins, and notebooks. If you’ve never seen her shop before I highly recommend you take a look now – let’s keep Jemma busy this Christmas!
And that’s all I have for 2019! Please let me know if you bought anything from my recommendations – I’d love to know what you think!
That is such a great list. I love to support small businesses ❤ and I absolutely love the unique funny things you ca find when moving away from the big business
